For more than a decade, Brent Eades has been one of the driving forces behind The Millstone, the volunteer‑run news platform that has become an essential source of local news, history, culture, and community connection in Mississippi Mills.

The Mississippi Mills Municipal Office, as well as the Development Services and Engineering and Recreation and Culture Departments located at the Almonte Old Town Hall, will be closed on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1.
