The community is invited to attend the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Vigil in Almonte’s Riverfront Park on Monday, September 30.
Coordinated by the Mississippi Mills Youth Centre, in partnership with the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, the event gets underway at 7 p.m. and includes readings from youth, a performance from Indigenous musician David Finkle and more, concluding with a candlelight vigil at the Seven Gifts monument.

7:10 p.m. - Remarks by Mississippi Mills Mayor Christa Lowry
7:20 p.m. - Performance by Indigenous musician David Finkle, joined by his wife Laura Leonard
8 p.m. - Remarks from a representative with Mississippi Mills All My Relations
